Welcome to Connection Lab: The Center for Human Engagement (“Connection Lab,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, application (“App”), programs, workshops, coaching services, and related offerings (collectively, the “Services”).

By creating an account or using our Services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use our Services.

Consent to Use Personal Information and Messaging

By creating an account and using the Connection Lab app, you consent to our collection and use of your personal information (name, email address, and phone number) to:

Support your participation and communication within your cohort
Enable Connection Lab employees to assist you as needed
Send relevant notifications and updates about your use of our Services

You also consent to receive SMS and MMS messages from us for these purposes. Message and data rates may apply.

Message frequency may vary based on your activity within the app and participation in cohorts or workshops. You may adjust your notification preferences or opt out of SMS/MMS messages at any time in your account settings. For help, contact us at privacy@connectionlaboratory.com.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

1. What We Do (and What We Don’t)

At Connection Lab, we provide tools, frameworks, and coaching to help people rediscover their natural abilities in empathy, collaboration, and communication.

Engagement Tool, Not Therapy: Our programs are not a substitute for medical care, therapy, or mental health services.
Not for Emergencies: If you are experiencing an emergency, call 911 (U.S. or Canada) or your local emergency services.

2. Your Responsibilities as a User

Not violate any laws (U.S., Canadian, or international)
Not infringe intellectual property rights or post harmful, harassing, or misleading content
Not compromise account security or upload malicious software
Use our Services in ways that respect yourself and others

3. Changes to the Services

Features may change, be suspended, or discontinued
New features may be added; others may be limited or removed
We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes, though advance notice may not always be possible

4. Your Account and Security

You must be 18 years or older (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use our Services.
Keep your login credentials private. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

5. Confidentiality and Data Use

We respect your privacy. Some information may be visible within cohorts or groups you join. We use trusted third‑party providers for hosting and analytics and take reasonable measures to safeguard your data. However, absolute security cannot be guaranteed. See our Privacy Policy.

6. Medical Disclaimer

Our Services are not intended as medical advice. Always consult a qualified health professional for medical or mental health concerns.

7. Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Liability

Activities may involve emotional, mental, or light physical engagement
You voluntarily assume all risks and release Connection Lab and its team from liability
You are responsible for assessing your readiness and health before engaging

8. No Guarantee of Outcomes

Our programs support personal and professional growth, but individual results will vary. We make no guarantees of specific outcomes.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Connection Lab, its affiliates, staff, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses resulting from your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

Connection Lab is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
For paid Services, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Services in the 12 months preceding a claim.
For free Services, Connection Lab assumes no liability. You use free Services at your own risk.

11. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for any failures or delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, or internet outages.

12. Governing Law

U.S. users: These Terms are governed by the laws of Washington State.
Canadian users: These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and applicable federal law.
